But, good news: we provide you with a new easy set, almost impossible to ditch! A new year, a new chance to start engaging in sustainable activities organized throughout the whole year. To help you get started, we provide you with a short overview of some of our favorite green activities. One activity a month should be do-able right? 2016: the year to get involved!

FEBRUARY – Greenchoice: Warm Sweater Day!
Turn down the heat, put on a sweater to stay warm and save comfortably 6% more energy per degree and thus 6% CO2. Since it hasn’t been this cold this winter, this activity is easy to participate in. MARCH – Earth Hour
Earth Hour is a worldwide grassroots movement uniting people to protect the planet, and is organised by WWF. Earth Hour 2016 will be held on Saturday 19th of March between 8.30PM and 9.30PM in your local time zone, encouraging individuals, communities households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for their commitment to the planet. More information on: https://www.earthhour.org/celebrating-earth-hour

APRIL – Earth Day
A day to be thankful for all the wonderful things the earth has to offer us. A variety of activities are being organised, from walking trips to music festivals; all dedicated to the earth! Check our Facebook for fun activities! More information on: http://www.earthday.org/

MAY – World Fair Trade Day
The World Fair Trade Day, started since 2001 by WFTO members, is an inclusive worldwide festival of events celebrating Fair Trade as a tangible contribution to the fight against poverty and exploitation, climate change and the economic crises that has the greatest impact on the world’s most vulnerable populations. JUNE – World Environment Day
Every 5th of June is a day used by the United Nations to stimulate worldwide awareness of environmental issues and encourages political actions. Over the years it has grown to be a broad, global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated by stakeholders in over 100 countries. More information on: http://www.unep.org/wed/about.asp

JULY/AUGUST/SEPTEMBER – Summer break!
Tip: if you haven’t got one yet, buy a Dopper at the Green Office, easy to take with you on a holiday to spread the message. Cause remember: the bottle is the message! This way you help the world prevent its plastic waste.

OCTOBER – The day of Sustainability 
On the 10th of October the Day of Sustainability takes place. The initiative of the Urgenda Foundation wants to bring people and organisations together raise awareness and to get more people involved to create a sustainable society. NOVEMBER – World Vegan Day of COP22
Every year the COP takes place. At the COP, different nations come together to talk about climate matters and to discuss how they can prevent sustainable matters such as global warming. This year the COP22 will take place in Marrakech!

DECEMBER – Have yourself a Green Christmas
